Answers to frequently asked questions about DFI’s Online E-Commerce Authorized Delegate Website system.
How often must I report my Authorized Delegates/Agents?
The time frame for reporting Authorized Delegates/Agents remains the same which is within 45 days after the end of each fiscal quarter.
Depending on your company there are two ways to report your delegates/agents.
If your company is required to upload authorized delegate/agents through the NMLS system (your company has 20 or more authorized delegates) then you would need to do the following:
- Upload your current delegate/agent list into NMLS within 45 days after the end of each fiscal quarter. How to upload your agent list (PDF)*.
If you company is not on NMLS or if you are not required to upload your authorized delegates at this time (your company has less than 20 authorized delegates) then you would need to do the following:
- Enter and pay for your new or amended delegates through DFI’s Online E-commerce Authorized Delegate system. You can also remove your authorized delegates through this system at no charge.
Do I still need to submit a quarterly report?
If your company must upload their authorized delegates/agents through NMLS then no other notification is required.
If your company is uploading their authorized delegates through DFI’s Online E-commerce Authorized Delegate website and you have no changes to your delegate list then you must email DCS@dfi.wa.gov with the following information:
- Name of company
- Quarter for which you are reporting
- “There have been no changes to the authorized delegates/agents for our company”
Can I upload my Authorized Delegate/Agents list?
If your company is required to use NMLS than yes you can upload your authorized delegate/agent list into the system. How to upload authorized agents (PDF)*.
If your company is using DFI’s reporting system then you do not have the functionality to upload your delegate/agent list.
Can I download my Authorized Delegate/Agent List?
If your company is using NMLS to report your delegates/agents then Yes. The instructions on how to obtain your list through NMLS can be found through the Requesting Authorized Agent Roster Report (PDF)*.
If your company is using DFI’s reporting system then Yes. We have created a button that you can click on to download your Authorized Delegate list from the online system in whole or in part. Please note: If you choose “ALL” when downloading your Authorized Delegate list and if you are a large company, it may take 3-5 minutes for the list to download.
What are the fees that my company will be charged?
No matter which system you use the fee for adding new authorized delegates/agents or for amending authorized delegates/agents is $50. There is no fee for removing Authorized Delegates. See complete fee schedule for all Money Transmitter submissions.
How will I pay the fees?
If you are using the NMLS system then an invoice will be created through NMLS by DFI once the quarterly upload has been reviewed.
If you are using DFI’s system then you will be prompted to pay for any additions or amendments when you submit your changes.
