For Washington Continuing Education Providers
How To Apply To Become A Continuing Education Provider
Effective June 30, 2009:
The Washington Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) will no longer accept applications from providers of mortgage continuing education. If you wish to provide mortgage continuing courses to mortgage licensees you must first receive approval from the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS).
Quarterly Reports for Continuing Education Providers
Beginning January 15, 2008 continuing education providers and professional organizations will have to provide a roster of who took their continuing education courses.
The first quarterly report for 2008 will have to capture continuing education course takers who are using classes to complete their 2007 requirements. Some of these courses may have been taken in 2006 by designated mortgage brokers.
For 2009 the quarterly reports are due to DFI on January 10, April 10, July 10 and October 10.
