Escrow Fidelity Policy Changes
DFI is currently revamping its review of escrow agent fidelity policies. While DFI has been requiring agents to submit full policies for the last year or more, effective immediately, escrow agents will only be required to submit a certificate of insurance and the declarations page(s) of their policies*, though DFI reserves the right to require entire policies. Please watch your e-mail inboxes for additional information from DFI on this topic.
*If you failed to meet the June 1st deadline for the approval of your entire policy, you are facing potential enforcement action and will still be required to submit the full policy for approval.
