Message from Deb Bortner about a new initiative we are undertaking at DFI to make our licensing process "better, faster and leaner."
As many of you know, the licensing process for a number of our license types has changed significantly in the last few years and as a result we have seen applicants struggle to complete the requirements to receive their licenses.
We believe the length of time it takes to process some of our licenses can be reduced. We have established a team to analyze our Consumer Loan License Application process and to look at how processing time can be reduced.
Doing Things Better, Faster and "Leaner"
Updates on Phase I and Phase II on the expansion of DFI’s use of the NMLS.
We are pleased to say the roll out of the expansion was successful, due to the level of teamwork and ongoing communication between our licensees, NMLS staff and our Licensing Team.
Several bills passed during the legislative session take effect in June.
The bills will impact almost all industries regulated by the Division of Consumer Services.
