Richland, WA Added to the Meetings Across the State
February 16, 2007
Regulators (Division of Credit Unions and NCUA) and the Washington Credit Union League have scheduled a fifth meeting in Richland due to a request from credit unions in central Washington. Credit unions are invited to share information with:
- Linda Jekel, Director of Credit Unions
- Elizabeth Habring, NCUA Supervisory Examiner, and
- John Annaloro, President of Washington Credit Union League
Credit unions attending the first meeting in Vancouver, WA discussed a number of topics, such as the need for regulatory relief, opportunities to expand services to members, and examiners’ understanding the competitive factors affecting earnings. We explored how the regulators and the league could work with credit unions on these issues and others. An update on what is the examiners’ focus in 2007 was also provided.
