Pandemic Plan Testing Opportunity

The federal Treasury Department is sponsoring a test of pandemic plans that will be open to all financial institutions. The test will begin September 24, 2007 and run until October 12th. It will be e-mail and web based with the following objectives:
- Enhance the understanding of systemic risks to the industry
- Provide an opportunity for firms to test their pandemic plans
- Examine how the effect of a pandemic flu on other critical infrastructures will impact the financial services sector
The Division of Credit Unions is encouraging credit unions in Washington to consider participating if they have resources available. Any credit union interested in participating may obtain more information at the following web site: http://www.fspanfluexercise.com (note: website no longer active).
